A week or so ago I went to my library to stock up on books to read. I love the library... Ever since I dared myself to go into the teen section with my mom, I have been adicted to reading again. I was a very avid reader before I started watching TV. What a lump I was! Watching Disney Channel and Nickolodean all day when it wasn't filled with school. I realized (After I'd watched all the TV shows I could possibly stuff into my brain) I simply needed more books. That weren't writen for ten year olds... No offence meant kid section.
Back to my point. I went into the teen section a week ago and was looking around carefully. You never know what you'll find in the teen section of a library these days. Darn modern liturature!
I was sucessful though. I had a bunch of historical fiction, which I adore sincerly, and I was looking at some random book with the picture of a blond chick with fancy curls that looked very obviously curled with mondern mechanics. The tital was called 'Ophelia' and it looked innocent enough, so I flipped open to read the discription.
OH, GOSH, IT'S BASED ON A PLAY BY SHAKESPEARE!!!!!!! HOLY CRAP, MUST READ BECAUSE IT HAS A DUDE AND A GIRL AND OBVOIUSLY THEY HOOK UP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Based on Hamlet. I read half in two hours when I picked it up after reading three of my historical fiction books. It was quite good. Too bad I ended that night by reading their wedding. The next day the worst thing happened!!! Gosh, she accidentally made him think she didn't love him! Then she sees he didn't really love her! I felt so depressed!
Then I realize I didn't read all of the description, read that, oh...
It's a tragedy...
That's just great.
Today I was sitting on the counter of my mom's bathroom while she was getting herself ready for the day (aka makeup, etc.) and asked about Shakespeare. Oh, that's fabu! He only writes tragedies and comedies! Can people who lived five hundred years ago have humor? Seems very ridiculous. Yet, my mother tells me that I would like one of the comedies... Surrre... Maybe.... I don't know.
All I know is that if Romeo hadn't over reacted to Juliet's death, he could've saved the tragedy. Wasn't she actually alive at the end too? I don't know. I honestly don't. I did Wikipedia 'Hamlet' because the description in the book says he has dark hair and blue eyes. Okay, fine. I'm a sucker for that stuff! (He doesn't have any good paintings on Wiki! D:) Instead, I see a pic of Ophelia dead in some pond. Well there goes the surprise!! THANKS WIKIPEDIA!!! LOVE YOU!!!!!!!!!!
Not.... >_______________________>
Now I'm trying to finish it... Still have plenty to go.
I already know what I'm gonna read after that! Most likely the autobiography by Helen Kellar! I was supposed to- OH OH OH!!!!
I HAVE HOMEWORK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
